my mom is in a nursing home ( 2 years now) and they called me yesterday and told me she has a staff-mrsa infection, as far as I know it is an internal infection, she has no skin boils but she has vaginal yeast infection and bladder infections UTI's, she just had a pessary removed and the doctor said she had an ulceration on her uterus, could this be where the mrsa is from? I'm worried because she had on a diaper which was wet and the attendant forgot to bring a clean one from the nursing home . So we had to dress her in the same diaper, could I get mrsa from this contact? How long does it take for symptoms to show up??
