my mother was diagnosed with mrsa a month ago while in the hospital
she had went feeling weak and sick to the emergency room
had what was thought to be an abcess or cist on her back, they did surgery and left wound open
and was told she had mrsa, sent her home and sent a nurse out 2wice a week
the day they told me she had this they had told me dhe was going to be in isolation and we would have to aera gloves and masks to enter room
an hour later they released her, then she came home got sicker and had to go back
this time they told me they were going to put her in a rehab
and then once again told me they had closed the wound and she could not go to rehab. trying to forcr her to sign a paper to go to their nurseing home
not gonna happen!!!
they can take her home if she cannot pay the bills
however she is at home now and I am working and takeing care of her the best I can
she barely has an appatite and cannot eat much stays nauseated and some diareha
what can I feed her or give her to try and get her strenght back any suggestions would help please

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
For one when I went though this ( many times now ) the meds can make you as sick as MRSA.I drank alot of gatorade and pedalite it was easy on my stomach and helped rehydrate me.You can also try club soda and gingerale to help with that as well.
I also used hot and cold packs where I ached, took long soaks in a warm tub, it dose wonders to relax the patient.
The staples like saltines and other mild crackers helps, also try brown rice, can use a bit of sugar or sugar substitute and a little cream. Was easy to eat and good for your digestion. That might be something your mom can try.try to steer away from to much butter or salt, it can make her stomach feel worse.Jello is also good to keep down.Try some fresh fruit as well something like apples or bannanas something not to acidy like pineapple. They will be good for her and in small doses be easy on her stomach.
Also try making serveral small meals a day to space it out, she might keep it down and be able to eat more in a day than she would trying to eat as much of a meal 3 xs a day.
also ask about phenagryn or comazine her doc might be able to put her on that for the nausea as well.
light stretching can also help, gets the circulation going and helps you feel better, massage is also good for this.Best thing for the diareha is Immodium AD usually works in one to 2 doses.
If I can think of more I will post again.Hope this helps.Let me know how she dose and stay strong, I am sending hugs and prayers your way.
You can msg me anytime if you have questions and I will do my best to answer for you.
