I have an open MRSA wound on my left leg below the knee that is in the process of healing, it's 3 weeks post-op. On my right thigh I have an area of skin that is sore and sometimes sharply painful, with no wounds or redness..the pain feels like it is maybe 1/2 inch under the skin's surface. Dr so far has no thoughts on it. Am going to see the ID but wanted to see if that's something other people have experienced? My antibiotics were: Vancomycin, Septra and Rifampin, plus Bactroban in the nose.
