Well, finally MRSA is making headlines! It's tragic that it is taking deaths to make this happen, but there it is. I have been sending emails to all of the major tv networks and my local networks this morning and I contacted the CDC to let them know that the medical community is Not taking this seriously, as so many of us on here know. A great many of us have the same story of how we receive a sweet smile, a pat on the head and a Rx as we're told, "Take these and you'll be fine." Please, I beg of you all, Please contact the media and let them know that we need help! I included a link in my emails to this website so that they can come here and read out individual stories, but there is no guarantees that they will. Please send your own emails out and make your voice heard! How many of you have gone into the hospital and told them you have MRSA, but never been put into isolation? How many of you are still fighting to get a referral to an infectious disease doctor? How many of you have been treated as if you have came in for the common cold instead of something that can be life-threatening? There is strength in numbers and now, while all eyes are on us, is the time to make ourselves heard. Nobody will ever fight for your life the way that you will yourself.

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
I am so tired of Drs treating me like I have a band aid type of problem. I get sick around 1 time every 2 or 3 months. I run a fever of over 101. I have severe body aches not just from the infected area but from all over. I go to my local Dr. they give me the same meds I have been taking since 2001 and send me home. When I spent the money and time going to see the infectious disease Dr. I was told I am infecting myself by touching my skin to much. I must be scratching too much and me being ill is something I am causing myself. If I stopped itching I would not have MRSA any more. (BULLS**T)
When I get a respiratory infection or the flu I feel 10 times worse then I did before I got MRSA. My chest hurts 75% more then before I got MRSA. I cant breath and I cant get out of bed because of the body aches. When I tell Drs this they say the MRSA I have has nothing to do with it. The respiratory infection I have and the MRSA are 2 separate issues and dont flair up at the same time or cause my respiratory infections to be worse. I go home take what ever they prescribed plus my prescriptions for MRSA to get better. ** I feel like I have been treating myself since 2001 because Drs will not listen**
I love the Drs who tell me I dont carry MRSA. That I dont have it when I am not sick with a rash or boil. *** Then why do I get sick 4 or 6 times a year **** I am not a dirty person I keep a clean house I am not a hypochondriac because I am sitting in your office with a fever of 101 and a rash on my face !!!
I dont donate blood by choice. I feel if I donate blood and someone gets sick and dies from a MRSA infection. I could not forgive myself. I am told I am free to donate blood and it is not carried that way. ** If it is not carried in the blood then why do you test my blood every time I get sick to see how bad my infection is this time around?
My daughter has it, I have it, and every time I go to a talk in clinic someone in the waiting room is coming in with it for the 1st time. BUT the general Dr. Diagnosis is a band aid. A band aid, for a pandemic. Does that make since!!! Personally I have lost hope in finding a cure or a Dr that truly will listen. Sorry for all the ranting. I am just very upset about being ignored for 6 years. 6 years 35 to 45 out breaks but ask most Drs and they will tell you I am not a carrier if this disease. (ya right)
