One of the symptoms and apparent side effects of my sons Crohn's was slow growth. He is in the 6th grade and there are a couple boys his size but most of them are alot bigger. This is occasionally brought up by people who donot know his medical situation. I know they don't intend to be mean when they say things like "He's small for 6th grade" but it bothers me. I want to blurt out "he has Crohn's disease and was sick for 2 years and it slowed his growth" but after asking my son he does not want me to tell people he has Crohns. I don't want him to be embarrassed by his illness on the other hand he is entitled to his privacy. Anyone have similar experiences?

I miss traveling with my husband. Has anyone found a specific site regarding cruising for widow/widowers or any sightseeing trips. Not interested in being with couples and kids,,,I realize a cruise ship will have a portion size of families and couples, but perhaps they also put together a part of the cruise ship for groups of widows/widowers????
