Mononucleosis Support Group
Infectious mononucleosis (also known in North America as mono, the kissing disease or Pfeiffer's disease, and more commonly known as glandular fever in other English-speaking countries) is a disease seen most commonly in adolescents and young adults, characterized by fever, sore throat and fatigue. It is caused by the Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) or the cytomegalovirus (CMV)....
Then again, your symptoms could be the cause of nearly anything. Epstein Barre is extremely rare, and the doctors would have picked up on the Mono virus really quickly if you had it. My advice... get to a doctor and continue to alert them if your symptoms are not responding to treatment. There are a lot of dangerous illnesses out there that go undetected by doctors because of their generalized symptoms. The key is to be consistent with your doctor.
Good luck to you.
I hope you're finding your way through this and getting better every day.
