My boyfriend and I went to see my OB today to discuss doing some testing since I've had two miscarriages in 8 months. She was amazing- super compassionate and receptive. We're going to do a whole bunch of blood work to test for Chromosomal abnormalities, hormonal abnormalities, and auto- and allo-immune deficiencies. We're also checking thyroid function and for blood-clotting disorders. If anyone is interested I can give you a list of all the tests we are going to do. We are also going to check my progesterone levels after I ovulate next time. She said that we have about a 20% chance of finding a reason for the miscarriages which isn't very promising but anything I can do to possibly prevent another miscarriage is worth it. If all of the bloodwork comes back normal we may also consider checking for uterine abnormalities. Hopefully this information is helpful to someone.
