I wanted to post this in hopes of providing help to someone else who may be going through what I am going through. Back in September we underwent our fist IVF and got pregnant. Needless to say we were excited!! Then at about 5.5 weeks I started spotting and ended up miscarrying the baby about about 6 weeks. We then moved on to a Frozen Transfer this month and got pregnant with twins. Unfortunately I lost one of the babies this past Friday and was told on Monday that the other baby will not make it either. I am waiting to miscarry again. Again, we were about 5.5 weeks this pregnancy too. My doctors ran a test and found out I have something called anticardiolipin antibodies. Basically there is not enough oxygen in my blood to carry to the fetus. There is a treatment for it and my dr says there are many women who have it, undergo treatment, and go on to have healthy babies. We are going to do another frozen transfer again as soon as I miscarry this baby but now we have a solution. I just wanted to share this because I wonder how many times i got pregnant naturally, miscarried, and didn't even realize it. Had I not gone through this I never would have realized what I had and never have been able to have a baby. If anyone reads this and has recurrent miscarriages please do not hesitate to ask your doctor about this test. It's not definite that you will have the same thing but if you do there is a treatment. I truly hope that my post can give others hope and maybe even answers.
