i am still waiting on the results from my annual pap test. i did get my invoice from the path lab telling me they had sent the info in for insurance.. my question is this. the procedure listed was "thin prep screen & rescreen".. anyone know if they normally rescreen the results or if i should be prepared for the 'abnormal pap screen results'.
i havent heard back from the doc yet, but when i read the paperwork from the lab i was like.. um..wtf?

how long has it been since you took the test? in montreal (quebec), if u choose to take the test thru the public system, then the doc usually says that if u don't hear from them in 6 weeks, then it's good. i did my annual on feb.3 and was told that i would be contacted by the following week if anything was wrong (paid privately). i'm sure the rescreening was an added precaution to make sure the first result was accurate. honestly, i don't know what to tell u. but if u r concerned, then i think u should place a call to your doc for further clarification. hope you pass with flying colors!!!

since we have crappy health system here in the u.s., i was at my private doctor (luckily insurance covers the annuals) anyways, after the pap, the doc never said when i'd hear back from them.. but it will be 2 weeks this coming monday since the test. i was thinking the rescreening was just to double check the initial test, but my negative thinking was meaning OHMYGODTHEYMUSTHAVEFOUNDSOMETHINGWRONG type thing..

i'm not sure about a rescreen, i dont live in the US i am in the UK, here we have a smear test (pap) done and we get the results within about 6 to 8 weeks... give it a few more weeks then follow it up, i'm sure everything will be fine hun.

almost all doctor offices that run tests which take a few days for results will have posted somewhere about getting your results. All my doctors have policies that if you don't hear from us, everything was normal. They only call when there are abnormal results. Hopefully that is how your doctor's office works too. They usually don't tell you though, it's posted on some small sign that no one ever notices in the office...you'd think they would tell you stuff like that!!! Good luck!!! I live in the US too, so I don't think it would take longer than a week or at the most 2 to get results.

yeah, all i got from him was "everything looks great down there" and that although he didnt see any problems with conception on the first cycle, its "clinically better to wait two"..
and since charting everything, it looks like i have a slight chance because i bd'd 4 days before 0, and the day prior to.

i'd just hate to have to deal with an abnormal pap smear at this point.

    I miss traveling with my husband. Has anyone found a specific site regarding cruising for widow/widowers or any sightseeing trips. Not interested in being with couples and kids,,,I realize a cruise ship will have a portion size of families and couples, but perhaps they also put together a part of the cruise ship for groups of widows/widowers????
