I thought that I would ask, because I know that we all have been pregnant. I hope it is not too personal, but a friend of mine has me really curious....
She said that last year when she got pregnant that she had a "period" for the 1st three months. Now, I know you can bleed and be pregnant, but not have a true period. But, can this really happen and has it actually happened to any of you? She said that she did not know she was pregnant until she was three months! I just can't imagine! Just curious..... thanks

It hasn't happened to me, but I asked my OB about it once. I had a period (exactly like all the previous ones) but also had major breast tenderness (new thing for me), extreme fatigue, and was throwing up like crazy. He did a beta HCG, cause he thought I could be prego. He said a woman can have break through bleeding for a couple of months or even miscarry 1 of twins and not even know they are preg. I was shocked. I always thought it was a woman's way of denying the pregnancy. Who knew!!

I have read about it happening but it did not happen to me personally. I had implantation bleeding but that is much much lighter than a period.

My mother had her "period" for the first three months of her pregnancy with me and only found out she was preggers by going to the doctor thinking she had the flu. My best friend had the heaviest period of her life when she was preggers with her first son, just for one month. SO I know it can happen. Of course knowing that only drives me crazy because some months when I have my period, I will still test if it seems lighter than usual because I think I could be preggers. Ugghhh...

I haven't had this happen to me but my nurse said that she bleed on and off for 4months when she was pregnant. She said that she would panic about everything but she has a healthy 6yr old. I know that it can happen. Good luck and God bless

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
