I have just been diagnosed with an incompetent cervix explaining why I lost my little girl at 21 weeks. In a way it has answered our question why we lost our little angel. However we now need to think about the future and the risks it brings. I have been told that my cervix is very incompetent and I should be looking at only one more pregnancy. I was also told that I was very lucky to have carried my first child to term so as you can imagine I feel very blessed. Has anyone else got this, if so did you go on to have a successful pregnancy? I know that I will have to get a 'stitch' if I decide to go ahead with any future preganancy and that there are risks.

I don't have an incompetent cervix but I'm a L&D nurse and have seen people get cerclages (a stitch) and go on to have term pregnancies. You just have to make sure you see a good perinatalogist and have them follow your cervical lengths and do the cerclage when they are able to.

I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
