So I know there are several posts already on insensitive comments and the like, but recently I was sharing with a very close family member about struggling with my 6 early miscarriages - all in the first trimester - and they said, "You know, you may not be having any more miscarriages than anyone else, maybe you just find out about your pregnancies sooner." I was stunned! For all of my babies I had pregnancy symptoms followed by a solid month of bleeding when I lost them, something I never experienced before. After the last miscarriage, I had to have a D&C after almost hemorrhaging to death. I explained this as politely as I could and they responded with "Oh," and changed the subject. I have been feeling hurt about this comment ever since. Ahhhh! I think we should write a book about things NOT to say after miscarriage!
