Has anyone had a heterozygous MTHFR mutation and been given any hope that this might be the cause of m/c. Are there any of you who have been given recommendations on folic acid, B12 etc and gone on to have a successful preg? We recently learned I have this mutation, got excited thinking this was our answer only to find out from our reproductive endocrinologist that the mutation is common and not likely to be a cause of our m/c. I am hoping someone else has better news than this.

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
I realize you posted a while ago so I hope you've been doing OK since then.
I also just came up positive for heterozygous MTHFR and have had 5 1st trimester miscarriages over the past 7 years.
But the good news is that I have 3 healthy kids, too!
My doctor put me on a very high dose of Folic acid (10mcg) and we'll see if it works next time around.
I feel so sorry for your loss but know that a healthy baby is definitely going to happen for you. Take good care of yourself and stay informed and go to the best doctor available.
G-d bless!
