I have had three d/c the first one was done in adoctors office. At that time I didn't really know a whole lot about d/c and didn't know what to expect. The doc gave me a valium and did it without any kind of pain killer or numbing anything. It was the worst pain of my life. When it was over he was like ok get up go home and that was it. I was in so much pain I almost passed out when I got up and then I started vomiting. He got up set with for vomiting on his carpet. The other two were done in the hospital. I was just wondering if anyone else has had a d/c doe this way or did I find the biggest quack in the world. (I found out later that the Doc lost his license)

You are so very lucky that you did not have any medical problems r/t to this shady d/c procedure! You can talk to your current doc and see if there may be any lasting effects from the 1st d/c be a consideration for now. Hopefully you feel comfortable with your current doc. Take Care.

I think you found the biggest quack in the world. I got put to sleep for mine. I'm sorry you had to go through that.

I've never heard of anyone else having a d/c done this way! When I was told I had to have one I freaked out at the thought of put to sleep and asked if there was an alternative to it. I was told no way! Sorry you had to go through that. In any case any surgical intervention is much safer done at a hospital

20-30 years ago almost all D&Cs were done in the office. My MD did offer to do it in the office, but recommended against it - highly recommended against it! He said it is rarely done in an office unless a pt is a huge risk to be put under anesthesia. I was in intense pain after my D/C even with anesthesia - I couldn't imagine, I am so sorry you had to experience that!

I am so sorry for your loss and what you had to go through. I just had a d/c today and know how hard this is to deal with emotionally and physically. Mine was done in the hospital.

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
