This week will be 5 weeks since my second miscarriage. The first time the Dr. did a D&C, but this time the process had already started, so he sent me home. I passed the baby the next day. The bleeding continued for about a week, and then nothing for two more weeks. The ultrasound tech confirmed that I had passed the baby, but that my lining was still very thick. Now I'm not really bleeding, but there is a strange discharge, I don't really know how to explain it. I initially thought I was getting my first period after, which would be a good thing, but it started 2 weeks ago and hasn't developed into a period.
Without getting to graphic, my question is should I call the Dr's office and ask about another D&C or ultrasound to see what is going on, or should I wait it out a little longer? I don't want to seem like I'm over reacting, but it seems like this is never going to end.

I gave my 2 week notice last Friday 13th. Now to join you fine people in a life of leisure and nothing else to do but to look out for myself....is it just me or does that sound pretty boring? My goal was to live to retire and I guess having to take early retirement because of health reasons wasn't exactly the way I had planned things. I just can't stay in that building that is reeking mildew...

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
I was very sick for a long time. Please go get it checked out.. Having a MC is hard enough mentally, and to be really sick with complications on top of it makes it even worse.
I hope and pray the best for you.
I know from experience, the first five periods are bizarre at times. But having a thick lining does not mean you have a strange discharge. Make certain you are checked for any kind of infection which can really cause trouble for fertility as well as can be fatal. Stress to them you want it explained in mundane terms so you know not to panic.
Lots of hugs and you are in my thoughts.
i really think most doctors are super sad when this happens to their patients and would be more than happy to talk to you. the good ones really want to help you however they can, even if it's just answering a question that will give you some peace of mind.
And I did just that two days later. I started bleeding heavy and passed more tissue. This is now a full month after the initial miscarriage. My doctor checked my HCG levels. When I started the spotting they were at 47. Two days later 137. Then I passed all the tissue. My doctor followed my HCG levels back down to
