I had to share my findings in an effort to help others on this site or for any of thier acquiantances. A while back my husband mentioned to me about lactose intolerance, and I more or less brushed it off.The keyword that came to my mind regarding this ailment was diarhhea, and I didn't have that so I quickly dismissed it. At one point, however, I cut back on milk and cereal in the morning and there was improvement, but again my mind dismissed it as my imagination. Then, one day in the library, I couldn't stand up any longer due to my back pain, and I found a chair to recuperate with. I glanced at the books in front of me and they were about diet and health.I pulled out a book and started browsing while sitting. The lactose intolerance piqued my interest so I checked two books out. I also found a web site with a quiz to take (Foodintol.com) and I took the quiz, I came out with gluten and dairy intolerance possibilities.I proceeded to cut out all dairy.
For the first time in two years, I had no headache or severe nausea the next day. I am on day number four and I feel like a different person. I want to kick up my heels in thanks for getting my feelings of good health back. This is a small price to pay for the benefits I am reaping...I think a lot of times food intolerances may be the root of a lot of ill feelings we have to "tolerate" daily. I FEEL REBORN!! I hope some others may find thier own relief, also. Good Luck in Health!!!

Always great to hear a positive experience.
If you have an allergy to milk, you will need to remove milk and other dairy products made with milk from your diet. Dairy products are a good source of calcium and Vitamin D, so its important that you eat other foods rich in these nutrients, such as broccoli, spinach and soy products.
Always check the label ingredients before you use a product. Many processed or prepared foods contain milk. In addition, check the label each time you use the product. Manufacturers occasionally change recipes, and a trigger food may be added to the new recipe.

There is also milk for people with lactose intolerance. (I don't recall any brand names)
You could try taking the lactase enzyme. I don't really know if that would help you out. I suspect it might not, if your problem is MORE than just lactose intolerance - because there are more chemical compounds in milk than just lactose. If you have a milk allergy - you could be allergic to one or several of those compounds. The only way to find out is by trial and error.
