Migraine Headaches Support Group
Migraine is a neurological disease, of which the most common symptom is an intense and disabling episodic headache. Migraine headaches are usually characterized by severe pain on one or both sides of the head and are often accompanied by photophobia (hypersensitivity to light), phonophobia (hypersensitivity to sound) and nausea.

o.k., so I went to the neurologist and was diagnosed with migrainous headaches or, as they're now called, probable migraines. She gave me a steroid pack to help with any rebound headaches. Also prescribed me ketoprofin for the minor headaches and Maxalt for the big ones. Plus phenergan for the nausea I sometimes get. So, does anyone else know more info about these? There's not much info on the web about them, and all the doc told me was that they're somewhere between a tension headache and a migraine. I just took some Maxalt and I'm hoping it works, but also kind of hoping it doesn't, lol, because the pills are so damn expensive! Anyway, any advice on this from you guys would be great!

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
Take care and be patient with meds. (I wasn't, but trying to now)
