I live at about 1200 feet. When I visit relatives at sea level (coastal Calif.) I ALWAYS get a SEVERE migraine during the 1st night. It happens whether I travel on the ground or in the air. I take prevent. Aleve before bed, but it doesn't work. Any suggestions? I feel bad always putting my family through this.

I gave my 2 week notice last Friday 13th. Now to join you fine people in a life of leisure and nothing else to do but to look out for myself....is it just me or does that sound pretty boring? Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. Thanks for your response. I'm new here in the group, but have had migraines most of my life, so any ideas are appreciated. I'm sensitive to many meds so have a fear of trying new ones (not having health ins. doesn't help with this issue). I usually research them thoroughly first - to the point that doctors roll their eyes!! Finding the right meds though can make ALL the difference. I will check out diamox.
