I have faithfully taken Calcium+D for the past seven years thinking I was doing all that I needed to avoid osteoporosis. My doctor recently recommended a test to check my Vitamin D level. I wasn't concerned. It turns out that I was extremely deficient event though I take the Calcium+D (2,000 mg) every day. My body hasn't been absorbing the calcium because I didn't have enough of the Vitamin D. This is just a recommendation to have your Vitamin D level checked!
