Menopause Support Group
Menopause is the physiological cessation of menstrual cycles associated with advancing age. It normally occurs in women between the ages of 45 and 55, when the body begins to slow and stop the production of eggs, estrogen and progesterone production decreases, and menstruation diminishes, eventually stopping altogether.

Good morning!,
I was a normal person , until one morning I woke up and was hit with perimenopause, just like that?
It started early last year and now almost a year later I take hrt's (hoping only for a while) but the down moods are getting worse, does anyone else have this problem all of a sudden? Doing my best to keep the chin up!

A friend sent this to me..As far as I can see, grief will never truly end.It may become softer overtime, more gentleand some days will feel sharp. But grief will last as long as Love does - ForeverIt's simply the way the absence of your loved onemanifests in your heart. A deep longing accompaniedby the deepest Love some days. The heavy fog mayreturn and the next day, it may recede.Once again, it's...

Today is my 25th birthday, to my somewhat lack of surprise I can see already no one really seems to care. I've always been the kinda person to make sure that everyone I Care about feels appreciated and knew somebody had their back. I can count 4 times this year when I Went out of my way to make sure a "friend" felt good on their birthday, especially if they got left hanging. Its early in the...
Long story short - I'm a mess. I don't even recognize myself anymore. Please someone tell me that there is hope & help out there.
My Dr., told me to eat salmon and drink soya milk three times a week, the soya was ok, but I noticed a change in my mood when I had salmon 3 times a week!
Over the last 8 months, the hotflashes and the sleep were the beginnings of a wake up call, but what was and is the worst is the anger. I am now on HRT and feel ok with all the physical symptoms, but my mood is still crappy.
There are so many things out there nowadays. I've been telling everyone about what I'm taking. At first I was a little skeptical, but these women are the real deal and I swear their stuff has saved me. Heck, for about $1 a day you can't go wrong. I just gave up my Starbuck's ritual (which was bad for my hot flashes anyway!) and it's a no-brainer...I feel SO good. Check them out at www.healthywomanstore.com.
I hope this helps - Bobbi
I told my dr. that I was afraid I'd hurt myself - that's the only reason why I'm finally getting seen next Monday. (They originally told me I couldn't get an appointment until April too.)
I suggest you call your dr. & explain the urgency & hopefully they'll do right by you.
This is so hard & hopefully there's help out there for both of us.
