I have been going through peri-menopause for almost 3 years now, but it is a little more than that. I found out that I have cystic fibroid tumors in my uterus and it causes me to have heavy bleeding when I do have a period. The doctor wants me to have a hysterectomy and I am scared to death of surgery. I have never had to have any type of surgery. Has anyone had a hysterectomy? If so, how long was the healing process.
