Menopause is the physiological cessation of menstrual cycles associated with advancing age. It normally occurs in women between the ages of 45 and 55, when the body begins to slow and stop the production of eggs, estrogen and progesterone production decreases, and menstruation diminishes, eventually stopping altogether.

Have any of you woman been diagnosed with an enlarged uterus. There are several causes for it one being endometriosis, fibroids and cycts on the ovaries. I have had a biospy done of the uterus and am waiting an ultrasound. From my examination he could find nothing untoward. With my last period I had excruciating back pain and pains in my legs which felt very heavy. Would an enlarged uterus cause this ? All my bloods have come back good.

I went to my gyno, and he said I had a 'thickened' uterus. Is this what your talking about? I had a cyst on my ovary too. So, he did a laporascopy and then scraped out my uterus. I wish I never had either of them done. In recovery, he said the cyst burst by itself and was gone. After the scraping and recovery, I started having mini pink periods again, monthly. That lasted about 6 months. Now, I'm back to skip, skip, spot.

I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
