Menopause Support Group
Menopause is the physiological cessation of menstrual cycles associated with advancing age. It normally occurs in women between the ages of 45 and 55, when the body begins to slow and stop the production of eggs, estrogen and progesterone production decreases, and menstruation diminishes, eventually stopping altogether.

For the last 6-7years. in the fall, I have a had mini period. This will start a year after the last one, and it does not happen every year.
I have been to my doc who referred me to an ob-gyn doc for further tests. I have been biopsied, and ultra sounded twice. Nothing. Each time, my doc has said, after the tests proved nothing wrong, that my ovaries were" having one more last hurrah".
I just had another "last hurrah" this year after 18 months of nothing. So, what do I do? I am going to wait and see if there is another "hurrah" in December.
Has anyone else had anything like this? I was done, not done, done, not done...with periods
Could hypothroidism be part of it? I am taking synthroid, but just since the summer. It would not explain all the other years, or could it?

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
So now after you, I feel like I can give him a big HA-RRRUMMPH!
But, to his credit, he did say, there is no way to predict how it will all go.
sigh...
