I found this site today, because I was searching for a place to share (comiserate!!) with other women in my situation. I feel that the panic/anxiety I am experiencing is menopausal, but since I had a partial hysterectomy at age 37, I am not sure. Since my ovaries are still in place, this is likely. I am trying to stay off more meds as I am currently taking meds for hypertension and diabetes. Have been dieting and doing well, so hope to drop some of the meds soon. I just needed to know that what I am experiencing happens to someone else. My "attacks" come in physical form, it seems..with tightening in the muscles of my back and abdomen, and a feeling of a huge knot in my stomach that makes me nauseous, and sometimes causes bowel symptoms. Consequently, when this happens, then my mind runs wild and a panic attack ensues...help! Can this be menopause ?!!

I miss traveling with my husband. Has anyone found a specific site regarding cruising for widow/widowers or any sightseeing trips. Not interested in being with couples and kids,,,I realize a cruise ship will have a portion size of families and couples, but perhaps they also put together a part of the cruise ship for groups of widows/widowers????
