Hello I'm new to this website, but MD brought me to it. I was just diagnosed with MD here in the last two weeks, and like all of you it scares the heck out of me. I was diagnosed that I had hearing loss over the last 3-4 months, then finally had a hearing test, and my hear is like an 80 year old man needing his first hearing aid. I then had an MRI and nothing was discovered, so it was still a mystery (I had no other symptoms). Then it hit me about 2 weeks ago a vertigo attack (I never had one before) and I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy, luckily I work in a hospital and made it down to the ER. I was violently sick and nauseated and it lasted close to 3 hours before the vicadin kicked in. I now have the anit nausea medice, meclizine and also the vicadin 5MG. What I hate I have had a couple vertigo attacks not as severe as I carry my medicine with me, but it stinks because you don't have any warnings, and it hits all of a sudden. How do you guys handle this and does it get any better? I'm scared because my son is only 3 1/2 and now I feel as my life to enjoy with him and his mother is over. Maybe it's the initial feeling of MD, but I'm really really scared. Does everyone work, and how have your employers been dealing with this? My boss is understandable as I have had to go home three times now and had to have my fiance come pick me up. Please any help or encouragement or any information that can be passed along would be great...
