I've been reading a book written by a successor of Confucius and I find it true and relevant, I can't help but relate it back to pot. There is a chapter called 'webbed toes', the author says that even though webbed toes and warts are natural growths they are superfluous to perfect natural action, they must be removed. He compares this excess to overindulgence and in tools of superior vision and hearing, not sure what he means but I apply it to pot, pot has become my tool of 'superior vision', and as he says, when this outside influence becomes too prevalent it overwhelms and depletes the vital essences, this has long been the case for me, today I feel empty inside and pot has played a role in my destruction....even though sometimes I feel pot has been a shipmate bailing water and keeping me just afloat, it is an excess and in the end it will always make things worse for me
