hey everyone.... new here. i've been in the bipolar community but just joined here.... have been battling addiction for over 12 years with everything under the sun... but am clean and sober (everything but pot) for the past 4 years... yeah! i consider myself clean and sober... altho yes i do still smoke pot... but have a wonderful bipolar brain....
does anyone in here also have a bp brain and smoke pot regularly? if so...any side effects? i can't tell if its the pot or my crazy head.... they say all the blah blah blah pot leads to future psychosis, anxiety, etc... but how do i know its not just me and not the pot? how can they be so certain? sorry to babble!

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
Good Luck to you

Anyway, Pot has side effects whether you are bp or not.
I honestly don't think it affected me negatively in any way as far as my mental state goes. I used it to self medicate. I was afraid if I didn't smoke to calm myself down and relax, I would kill myself or at the very least, cut myself. No medication or amount of medication has ever helped me when the loneliness and fear of night has grasped me, but weed worked. Now, my meds have me pretty leveled out, all except for the delusions ugh! I'm hoping and praying those horrid nights won't return because if they do, I'm certain i'll be self medicating again rather than occasionally smoking or drinking just for the hell of it.
