Lyme Disease Support Group
Lyme disease is the most common vector-borne disease in the Northern Hemisphere. It is now one of the fastest growing infectious diseases in the U.S. Lyme disease is caused by infection with the Borrelia burgdorferi bacteria, and is primarily transmitted to humans as well as dogs, horses and other domesticated animals by the bite of infected ticks.

So I was doing, I thought, better. The past week has me feeling as bad as when I started this journey into Heck. I cannot move my neck, every joint hurts, my feet and ankles hurt to the point I can hardly walk at all and the pain is up into my calves now. Energy = Less than 0. Mood swings, I SCREAMED at my precious baby for crying because she didn't want a bath, just wanted to keep playing and was crying in the tub. Headaches and more brain dead-ed-ness. And guess who still has to work through it all?!
Top it off, my one friend's wife passed away, and her service was on the same day as ANOTHER friend's funeral (doesn't pay to be friends with me right now). And I got the news that one of my beautiful, beloved horses has navicular disease (too complex to explain, but he only has a 50% of being rideable again and so I will have to give him to a rescue if his treatment doesn't work).
My grandmom in law had a biopsy of her lung and we are waiting to find out if it is cancerous, my cousin-in-law just had both breasts removed for cancer.
I have a return visit to the doc the end of this month. My pain meds (Vicodin) are just about all gone, I can't believe I have had to use them but I am so sore I cannot function. I thought herxing, but this has been way too long.
So if you all wondered where I went, it was into a well of pity...any body want to drop me a rope to climb out?!

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
Do you think you are herxing? It sounds possible.
I am very sorry about your losses and the health problems of your relatives.
I hope that your horse responds to treatment.
Considered the rope dropped to you! Tie a knot and hang on!

Wow! Sounds like you have a lot going on. It's okay to wallow in self pity for a day but you need to grab on to that rope and try to pull yourself out. I have found that the best thing I can do for those muscle aches is exercise. No matter how tired or achy I feel, the aches seem to go away or at least not be as bad after going to the gym and working out. It also works as a good stress reliever. Hang in there, it will get better
My heart goes out to you about everything that is happening and i understand about your horse to. Naviular is not what you want and you can hold horses colse to your heart. Im sure that everything will be fine.
