Lyme disease is the most common vector-borne disease in the Northern Hemisphere. It is now one of the fastest growing infectious diseases in the U.S. Lyme disease is caused by infection with the Borrelia burgdorferi bacteria, and is primarily transmitted to humans as well as dogs, horses and other domesticated animals by the bite of infected ticks.
I have no family. When I can't take care of myself there won't be anyone to do it for me. I got angry (especially at all the doctors who had decided that there probably wasn't anything really wrong with me)and I'm using that anger to fight for myself.
It made me sad and I cried through some of it. Having lived it, you can identify with so many of the people presenting their stories. It's good to know you're not alone. Sometimes you see someone worse off and thank God that you're not *that* bad.
It was REALLY useful for showing to some of my family members - those who've been sceptical about the diagnosis, treatment, and length of time I've been suffering. It kind of validated what I've been saying for so long.
Thanks for all your feedback.
But now I don't know becuase of my daughters recent diagnosis. will she be more scred or more prepared?
