Lyme Disease Support Group
Lyme disease is the most common vector-borne disease in the Northern Hemisphere. It is now one of the fastest growing infectious diseases in the U.S. Lyme disease is caused by infection with the Borrelia burgdorferi bacteria, and is primarily transmitted to humans as well as dogs, horses and other domesticated animals by the bite of infected ticks.
Tylenol is hard on your liver anyway, and your gut -- that's what I learned in nursing school. I avoid it.
My sister has a chronic disease that affects her liver, and there may come a day when she needs part of mine. Got to take care of it for the both of us :-)
Anyways, milk thistle will be investigated this payday!
Thank you as always everyone for your willingness to provide sage advice..
Fish oil pills, for some reason, put me over the top. I don't taste them really, but I think it's the oiliness in them that makes me a tad nauseous.
I've started spreading them out a bit throughout the day, where I can. Not sure if it helps, or just gives me more times a day to forget to take them?!??!?
A good thought though, and one that's been running through my mind with all the abx we end up taking.
Milk Thistle protects the liver from damage & is very good.
I beleive it has something to do with the dilution of the 325 mg of aspirin in water and the citric acid in the lemon lime version!
I take it before bed and am amazed at how much better I sleep! This is way easier than pharma meds on my system and my liver!
I can only say that AS is a small price to pay for something that provides so much pain relief. I take it twice a day!
BTW, I have Lyme arthritis. It is in my knees and I can hardly walk as a result!
This is the best relief in 4 years, I have found so far.
I also find that if I eat lots of beets, that helps as well.
