I am on doxy (alone) for 19 days now. I have had deafness in my right hear for nearly 2 years, and suspect the lyme is responsible. I am trying to understand how herxing works and, since about 2 days after I started the medicine I have had ear pain in the deaf ear. To me, I am tempted to make the leap that there is bacteria in my ear that is dying... is that crazy, or does that make sense? I don't think my hearing will return, at least that's what I've been told by my ENT and audiologist, BUT isn't it odd that the ear pain has returned with the doxy? I am always looking for patterns and connections... this seems important but maybe I am just hoping for a miracle... I am hoping that my ear will recover.

I miss traveling with my husband. Has anyone found a specific site regarding cruising for widow/widowers or any sightseeing trips. Not interested in being with couples and kids,,,I realize a cruise ship will have a portion size of families and couples, but perhaps they also put together a part of the cruise ship for groups of widows/widowers????
