Two months ago I got a tick on my back. It was on me for two weeks before I discovered it was a tick. The red area was large and I kept waiting for it to go away. After four weeks I went to the doctor and she started me on a treatment of Doxycycline (21 days)which I recently finished. However, the red area has not gone away completely. It is some better but definitely is still red with the hard center and it still itches. There is no pain but my friend says that to the touch there is some warmth to the area. I was suppose to have a blood test done but could not afford it because I do not carry insurance at this time. I am not having any symptons but am concerned with the redness. Does anyone know if it just takes time for the redness to go away?

I miss traveling with my husband. Has anyone found a specific site regarding cruising for widow/widowers or any sightseeing trips. Not interested in being with couples and kids,,,I realize a cruise ship will have a portion size of families and couples, but perhaps they also put together a part of the cruise ship for groups of widows/widowers????
