So when I was orginally diagnosed because of the bullseye rash with Lyme in 2006, I recieved an antibiotic was told I was cured, and that I had antibodies. That was the end of that. Recently I heard that you could get Lyme again and that some people believe their is such as thing as Chronic lyme disease. I am very confused as it if Lyme disease is actually ever cured or if it goes into like a remission. The CDC website says that chronic lyme is basically all phsychological but other sites say that chronic lyme does exists and I have had many unresoved symptoms that could relate back to lyme. One website said that chronic lyme attacks joint primarily the knees. In 2011 my knees all of a sudden started hurting and it lasted for 4 months then I went to the doctor who did no real tests and said it was just tendonitis which is common for females my age (mind you im 21). Does anyone know if chronic lyme is real? Does Lyme go away in most people or is it dormant?
