I had a workman comp hearing for Lyme yesterday. It was awful. Even my lawyer was not representing me well. However, the company I work for had a total idiot there. He completel dismissed the bullseye rash I had. Said I had a neurological problem because I took Imitrex which is specific for migraines. Asked why I took premarin ??? The female hormone replacement medicine.
My blood test was neg but my doctors statement was superb and symptoms were clear, right down the line with both lyme and babeosis. They were totally confused about the co-infection thing.
Does anyone have experience with this?

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. How long have you been sick? Even though only about 50% of people who have Lyme ever get a rash, a bulls-eye rash is a definite sign of Lyme disease. The rash alone merits treatment.
I am sorry the hearing did not go well. When will you know the outcome? Can you appeal if it is not in your favor?
Often, for hearings it is good to focus on how these diseases affect your everyday activities and ability to work. Think long and hard about your symptoms. There can be many symptoms and people sometimes become so used to dealing with them that they almost seem normal. Don't leave anyting out.
It can also help to print out medical journal articles about tick-borne illnesses.
Are you being treated by a knowledgeable doctor? What meds are you taking? How long have you been getting treated?
