Lupus Support Group
Lupus is an auto-immune disease in which the immune system cannot distinguish between threats (like viruses and bacteria), and healthy cells and tissue. As a result, the body produces antibodies that inflict cell damage, most commonly targeting joints, skin, kidneys and the nervous system. Join the group and find support for coping with lupus.

Sometimes you have to fight to find a doctor who will listen to you. I know I've had many doctors at first think I was making my pain out to be much worse than it really was and so on. I tend to be somewhat upfront with my doctors and insist that they explain everything with me even if its routine stuff. I have found that works well for me. I hope you find a way to communicate with your doctor or find a different doctor who is more understanding.

You may wanna try keeping a daily jernal of how your feeling. The day before you go to the dr read over read over your jernal and make a list of what you want to tell your dr. You could even tell them out of so many days how many days were you in pain, and how bad was the pain. If you want a sample jernal sheet there are some on line. I was not able to find the one I use but If you would like to have a copy of the sheet I use just let me know. It helped my dr see how often I was experiancing all these simptoms and he began to understand me. Also its a good idea to take a list of things you want to talk about with your dr to your appointment. Im really tired I sure hope you understood what I was saying lol.... Jules

I wrote down every symptom and brought it in to my doctor. I even had to change my primary doctor to one who was more proactive. With my list of symptoms it really clarified what was going on. Good luck!

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
