Lupus Support Group
Lupus is an auto-immune disease in which the immune system cannot distinguish between threats (like viruses and bacteria), and healthy cells and tissue. As a result, the body produces antibodies that inflict cell damage, most commonly targeting joints, skin, kidneys and the nervous system. Join the group and find support for coping with lupus.

Has anyone had any vision distortions due to lupus. I have been getting this odd "blind spot". It starts as if I just saw a camara flash, then continues to get larger obscuring my field of vision in both eyes. It only lasts about 15 to 20 minutes, then everything goes back to normal. I can't seem to find a trigger and there really isn't any pain associated with it. It is just really weird.

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
:-) but I strongly believe that this is related of my insomnia.
I can see like a diamond glare, sometimes I see like a big like as big fist and black or sometimes I can see a a tiny gray falling ( it is like a rain falling) someone might think I am crazy but it is really true. :-( and it is annoying...seriously.. :-(
