Hi, I'm a new member with some questions for anyone who might have the answer. I saw a doctor yesterday who is suspicious that I may have lupus. I have a lot of the symptoms of lupus including hair loss, facial malar rash, terrible joint pain, swelling, body rashes, mouth sores, etc. I also have third stage lyme, so it's difficult to say what is really going on. I told the doctor that I had a negative ANA, negative reactive protein, and a negative anticardolipin in March. She said that the difficulty in testing for lupus is that the disease waxes and wanes; test results could be false negative. My question is...is this true. I would appreciate any information you have to offer. Thank you all in advance. This has been such a long year of illness for me.
