My mother and I don't have the best relationship; it's functional, but just barely. she has had two experiences within months of each other tht resemble lupus flares. The second time she finds out that her ANA results are positive and but she refuses to pursue the information and get a definite yes or no on what it really is. I'm worried about her... I'm worried about my father who lives only to see his wife happy and my sisters that love my mom completely and unconditionally... oh and by the way what she's doing is selfish because we all are minors (i'm the oldest and I'm fifteen) and we need a definite yes or no to preserve some form of sanity... she has already made comments like "even if i do have it, i refuse to get treatment", and "you guys will be just fine". She's a nurse so she knows the damage that false consolation can cause... I'm a little to smart for that but my younger sisters, age 13 and 11, won't understand. WTF is she thinking?
