Lupus Support Group
Lupus is an auto-immune disease in which the immune system cannot distinguish between threats (like viruses and bacteria), and healthy cells and tissue. As a result, the body produces antibodies that inflict cell damage, most commonly targeting joints, skin, kidneys and the nervous system. Join the group and find support for coping with lupus.

I have broke out in a blistery rash on my leg that's gotten worse in the last few days. It doesn't itch, but it's becoming painful-feels like it's going threw my knee. Is this the lupus? I have not suffered with rashes before except the red "butterfly" patches under my eyes. I'm wondering if it might be the meds? I hate to bug my rhume. with this if it is just par for the coarse. Anyone else had this before?....Wendy

The rashes are very sporadic- sometime mine are blistery, some just patches of red bumps, others look like hives. I use a steroid creme (script from doctor) it's called clorbetesol- it works!

Called my rhuemy and she said get to the ER you don't want it to get infected. The ER doc gave me 2 shots in the rear and have to be on an oral antibiotic for 10 days..great ANOTHER pill to take! It's quite painful, can't wait till it clears up. Wendy

I noticed a blistery patch on my check one day. I didn't really think anything about it. I went away after a day or so. I got worried when it came back almost in the same spot 2 weeks later! Nothing in a couple months but I hope I don't have another thing to worry about. Jeez!Does it ever end! I also get itchy rashes on my legs ever now an then. Like something bit me. Oh well. I'm going to ask my Rhume about that cream. Thanks for the advice Lyn

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
