Hi, I had a question about labs I was wondering if someone could help with. I haven't been feeling well since May (fatigue, low grade fevers, joint pain - no swelling). My initial labs in June came back ANA positive and Lyme western blot positive. My dr thought Lyme originally.. took 1 month antibx but no improvement. Saw rheumatologist last week...more labs to break down ANA. That it is still positive (some homogeneous, some speckled). The thing that is freaking me out is that the SM antibody came back positive 1.2. Everything I've read says that if this is positive, it's almost always indicative for Lupus. Very rare false positive. My dr says it's weakly positive and may be the beginning of autoimmune disease. Also SCL -70 was positive which can be for Lupus or schleroderma. Just wondering if anyone could shed some light on this. She doesn't want to see me again until beg of Nov. Thanks!!
