Lupus Support Group
Lupus is an auto-immune disease in which the immune system cannot distinguish between threats (like viruses and bacteria), and healthy cells and tissue. As a result, the body produces antibodies that inflict cell damage, most commonly targeting joints, skin, kidneys and the nervous system. Join the group and find support for coping with lupus.

I everyone...
Hope you all had nice holidays. Im glad they are over...Too much stress and rushing for me and my body.
Listen, the other day I had a HORRENDOUS headache which I use to get often before starting my plaquenil. I remembered that at a town show I went to, I had bought a pair of medicical magnet earrings which were suppose to help with headaches. I had also purchased a magnet necklace but had totally forgottten about them. Well, I dug around and found the earrings. Im telling you, my headache was gone in 10 min. not completely but barely there. After an hour, it was gone...Let it be known that I am not a quackery medicine person AT ALL (you can probably tell by my other posts) but these things worked for me and maybe they will help some of you with headaches. They are small and attach to your ear on both sides (magnetically). They are MEDICAL GRADE magnets. Not the same ones on the back of the refrigerator kinds. If anyone is interested, let me know. I googled them and found a site that sells the earrings for 33.00. That is a RIP OFF. I know I can find them cheaper. If anyone is interested, let me know.
I was told that the magnet therapy is good for arthritis, muscle pain, energy, etc. but I have not tried my necklace yet so I cannot tell you my conclusion. It is large enough (and Im small enough) that I can wrap it around my wrists. May help anyone who has wrist pain. ?????? I think there is a bunch of info on medical magnet therapy but dont spend a lot of money on the earrings please!!! I think I paid 6.00 for mine.
Hugs to all

I have met different people with different pain issues and some of them would not walk out of the door without their magnets on while others didn't find any relief. I have actually seen the bracelets at the pharmacy. I have never tried magnet therapy and as I sit here and type this, I'm wishing I had some of those earrings. lol Thanks for the reminder and I am so glad that they work so well for you.

I gave my 2 week notice last Friday 13th. Now to join you fine people in a life of leisure and nothing else to do but to look out for myself....is it just me or does that sound pretty boring? My goal was to live to retire and I guess having to take early retirement because of health reasons wasn't exactly the way I had planned things. I just can't stay in that building that is reeking mildew...

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
