My older sister(10 years older) called today after visiting her rheumatologist and her labs all came back positive for SLE. Thank God her kidneys are not affected. She has had mouth sores, joint pains, fluid in ankles, and unusual rashes so I told her to go get a full rheumatoid checkup and well she just called and said she was put on Plaquenil. My sister's sure hit the genetic pool, now both of us have SLE with RA and my other sister has Hashimoto's Thyroiditis, a rare autoimmune thyroid disease. My maternal aunt had Multiple Sclerosis, and my Dad had RA. I told my sister to read up all she can on the disease and take one day at a time. I remember how I felt years ago when I was diagnosed, it took awhile to absorb it and I had many questions and still do.

I miss traveling with my husband. Has anyone found a specific site regarding cruising for widow/widowers or any sightseeing trips. Not interested in being with couples and kids,,,I realize a cruise ship will have a portion size of families and couples, but perhaps they also put together a part of the cruise ship for groups of widows/widowers????
