Lupus Support Group
Lupus is an auto-immune disease in which the immune system cannot distinguish between threats (like viruses and bacteria), and healthy cells and tissue. As a result, the body produces antibodies that inflict cell damage, most commonly targeting joints, skin, kidneys and the nervous system. Join the group and find support for coping with lupus.

I was just recently diagnosed with SLE and Sjogrens Syndrome. I am so new to all of this and it seems some symptoms can overlap between the two. Over the weekend I broke out with a rash all over my face and my scalp. My face turned red and puffy. I also had a little splotchy rash on the top my chest near my neck and a few places on my arms. Does anyone know if this is part of the lupus? My entire body hurt at the same time and I felt tired and a little nervous feeling. Also, do the lupus rashes itch or burn? I am seeing my doctor tomorrow.
