Lupus Support Group
Lupus is an auto-immune disease in which the immune system cannot distinguish between threats (like viruses and bacteria), and healthy cells and tissue. As a result, the body produces antibodies that inflict cell damage, most commonly targeting joints, skin, kidneys and the nervous system. Join the group and find support for coping with lupus.

Hi
My Rheumatologist just referred me to a Neurologist because of ongoing, lower body muscle spasms and loss of sensation in one leg. He said that it may or may not be related to the Lupus which has been better since taking Plaquinil. He wants to rule out ALS. I sure hope that one can be nixed ASAP. I am just getting used to the diagnosis of mild Lupus. I am wondering if anyone else is having these symptoms.

I had to take an ECG, and they put the transmitters on my legs. My legs twitched so much that it was giving a false reading - I haven't been diagnosed with anything other than Lupus - You are not alone

I wish I had some advise, I also have horrible spasms in my legs and shoulders, sometimes I have to rock myself to sleep. I take a muscle relaxer at night and sometimes it works.
