Lupus Support Group
Lupus is an auto-immune disease in which the immune system cannot distinguish between threats (like viruses and bacteria), and healthy cells and tissue. As a result, the body produces antibodies that inflict cell damage, most commonly targeting joints, skin, kidneys and the nervous system. Join the group and find support for coping with lupus.

we are blessed, though, if someone actually *tries* to understand and when we see this, we should hang onto them with all we've got.
then I realized also, that I really wouldn't want anyone to go thru the pain of lupus, so I'm glad they don't understand completely. it would be awful if they did.
sometimes showing them bloodwork that is off balance helps those who need something concrete. showing them your meds can also help make it real.
