Lupus Support Group
Lupus is an auto-immune disease in which the immune system cannot distinguish between threats (like viruses and bacteria), and healthy cells and tissue. As a result, the body produces antibodies that inflict cell damage, most commonly targeting joints, skin, kidneys and the nervous system. Join the group and find support for coping with lupus.

I have not been diagnosed with Lupus yet. I went to the Dr. Tuesday, I had been having muscle aches for several days. It felt like I had been working out and I can assure you that is not the case. My muscles were so sore even to touch. The dr. did blood work on me and called me back today to come in for more blood work. She said my A & A (I think) came back positive so she is going to do some tests to check for Lupus. I have been reading some things on the internet tonight about Lupus and it says that stress can cause a flare-up. I have been under a GREAT DEAL of stress lately! I just found out at the beginning of November that my husband was having an affair. Will stress cause body aches like this if you have Lupus? And does it happen this suddenly? I just woke up Saturday feeling like this. Does this sound like Lupus to anyone?

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
Stress makes everything worse. It intensifies pain and I am a believer that YES it will cause my Lupus to flare, and it will cause anything else that is bothering me to worsen. The best thing we can do is seek ways to relieve our stress. We cannot always eliminate it, especially when there are circumstances that are out of our control, but we can learn to calm ourselves.
Good luck, and I am very sorry you are not feeling well and VERY sorry for what your husband has done. I am sure that really hurts (((you)))
Blessings..

Good luck!
ANA is a test that can show if you have an auto-immune disease. You can look it up if you'd like.. I find it kind of confusing..
