Today I get a conference call from my lupus doctor. He is going to go over my latest blood work and discuss which medication he decided would be best but we discussed cellcept at my visit. Then he will let me know if that is in fact the one right for me to try or maybe a different one? A few of you said there are better ones with less side affects but this one is easy on the liver which is why he probably suggested this one. For those of you on cellcept can you tell me your experiences with it? I am going to write out my list of questions in a bit for him but I will definitly be bringing up my frequent fevers latley and soaking up my bed at night despite ice packs, fans and keeping my room ice cold! I'm also going to ask him if he thinks it is a good idea to have a dose of steriods after my liver biopsy while I am in there for a day or two and his thoughts on that... my general doctor thinks it's a good idea to help calm my system down and ward off any bad flares but he is the expert so ultimately it is up to him. I also hear from the liver specialist today to confirm they have all the blood work they need (they had to get all my transcrips from the hospital) to go forward with the biopsy and cross your fingers I can get in this coming thursday because if not it's going to be put back awhile (holiday time) because my husband is going to be in and out of town for work :( if I can get it done this coming thursday that gives me all day thursday-sunday to recover then he will be on site monday-friday but he will be coming home everyday but the place is an hour away... then the next few weeks he will actually be staying over nights for the work week but at least still close by (within 3 hours) but I will be staying with my parents so I wont be alone thank goodness... they have a spare bedroom for me and the kids when my hubby has to travel out of town for work... anyway wish me luck today... I cant believe it is already Friday and am so nervous/anxious to hear the "latest" especially from my lupus doctor.
