when my step dad first got diagnosed he had been misdiagnosed for roughly 1 1/2-2 years, before he was diagnosed he had a thriving mechanic shop he inherited after his fathers death. after being diagnosed, my mother and i took over the shop, i quit my job of 2 1/2 years, and my mom had already been helping out there. since then the shop has been closed, and sold. for about 6 months we had no income and the items that were sold were sold for less than a 1/4 of the expected amount, his last dream was to travel the country with myself my mother and his daughter, because of lack of funds we were unable to do that. i now live in tulsa ok and my mother and step dad are in california..for now they originally went there to meet with some doctors at a hospital to see if there was any thing else that could be done. which is when he found out that surgery was not an option b/c his tumor was unknown origin, and chemo would do more harm than good, since then he has been in horrible condition. his state of mind has dropped considerably, he can't/doesn't eat there is NOTHING my mother can do to make him feel better he doesn't want to take his pain med's he does nothing but sleep throw up yell and cry..he has 2 moods now, angry at the world because no one can do anything that will actually help him including my mother or depressed where he constantly cries and tells my mother how good she's been to him and says she would be better off if he just died cause this all will only get worse. what i need to know is what i can do for my mom cause i have run out of things to tell her and advice to give her and theres only so much i can hear her cry night after night she's afraid she won't be able to take it anymore but she loves him more than anything (besides me) and doesn't want to leave but he's driving her into the ground she/we know he's going through a TERRIBLE thing and couldn't begin to imagine what this could be like but we also know there's GOT to be a light at the end of the tunnel that doesn't only lead to his death! we know he's going to die probably sooner rather than later but we need advice on how to bring him back to positive thinking and get them both into a better quality of life for what time he has left...PLEASE HELP!! anything at this point would be useful info...and sorry for the book but i appreciate your time and advice :D

I can count 4 times this year when I Went out of my way to make sure a "friend" felt good on their birthday, especially if they got left hanging. Its early in the...
