I'm assuming everyone here is for it. What do you do when you find out a close friend of yours is against it?
Here's the thing -- she thinks commitment ceremonies are okay. As long as you don't call it a 'wedding' or a 'marriage', she's fine with it. So basically she's arguing semantics.
I didn't point that out to her. I was extremely disappointed in her. She's okay with people being gay. She gets along great with me, and the guy who introduced us is gay. So I don't quite understand what her problem is.
She says that her problem is that the Bible and the Constitution define marriage as being between a man and a woman. I pointed out that the Constitution can be changed, and that you can't make everyone do what the Bible says because not everyone is a Christian. You can't expect everyone to conform to it when more and more people no longer agree with it.
I'm not angry with her, and I understand that she has a right to her opinions. I just changed the subject quickly because I didn't want to argue it with her. But now that I've had a minute to think about it, it just doesn't make sense to me. Why would she have such a ridiculous conviction?

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
