We have had soo much rain this month the mosquitos are breeding like rabbits. North lawn is saturated & the pond overflowing.
Cannot go out without Bug Spray now. A very different summer this year.
June dry as a bone.
July storm after storm, water, water everywhere.
Has been great for the garden & well though.
Oh yes, got a mosquito land on me. That little sucker did not get the chance to bite. Well, the birds and spiders are happy, more food for them. hehehe That is why I leave spider webs on the balcony alone.
Yes the Dragon Flies had a feast in late June & early July. Haven't seen many around lately.
I usually go out in my boxers & no coat for last walk. They just attacked me last night.
Brooke, they do not like me. Rarely do I get a bite. Why I do not know, There are a lot of mature trees and growth around my building too. Hugs and stay cool and safe. Enjoying that central AC.
That sign is accurate. After months of rain everyday, those little blood suckers are out in force. Stay inside and use bug spray.
Before the Pandemic, they used to spray our area every year. Noticing they're not doing it now. Yeah we got a lot of mosquitos too!
Next will be the West Nile Virus????
They like me unfortunately, I don't like being outdoors after dark!!
I have to put bug spray on through the day if I go anywhere near the back gardens & forest.
Love the sign. I hear ya Brooke. Not soo bad on the lake if there is a cool breeze. Need bug spray at night & a fire going if you want to sit outside.
i have a mosquito zapper that I plugged in last night. It is good up to an acre so that would be the lawns around the house front & down to the garage & kennel. It does work.
Is that a real sign? lol
Is it on a walking trail?
